This also extends the keyboard's lifespan, as you can switch out components without replacing the entire keyboard.
The GK61X supports hot-swapping and is compatible with G-switches, BOX switches, Cherry MX, and other 3-pin and 5-pin switches. This means you can easily change your mechanical switches for a different type, without any soldering or effort. Can you replace the stabilizers with screw-in stabilizers for this keyboard? By default, with the included plate, only plate-mounted stabilizers are compatible with this board.
Can you use "cream" switches, Panda switches, or "Oreo" switches with this keyboard? Yes, these switches should work fine. However, you cannot use optical (light-based) switches with these kits. Does the GK61X support optical switches? No, the PCB has RGB pre-soldered under each switch, and it is designed to work with Cherry MX switches and clones. Optical switches are not supported.

The GK61X is a wired kit, and the PCB is fully programmable using the GK software.
